We were a bit confused. We believe these truly “giant clams” around 30 years old are from Palau; not endemic to the Cook Islands. Some people thought these were from Australia. Maybe one of you experts out there can help us out?
No, they can’t grab you and hold you down!…. Some of these will grow up to 6 feet long in another 50 years and weigh 1000 lbs. if left alone.
