In trays, to keep them away from most predators, these “baby clams” are nurtured and then planted in the lagoon. We were told up to 97% of them are sold to the aquarium trade to continue the funding of the reserve. This site was part of our day tour we “Teking”. To us, it was one of the highlights of the day.
