Yes they get bigger, but these guys are in the reserve. We saw some about twice this guys size. In the 1600 & 1700’s there were over 200,000 tortise’s in the Galapagos. When sailing ships arrived, they simply collected them, placed them onboard their ships and had a fresh source of meat for months.
