Self portrait. I spent 2 1/2 hours in the “bosn’s chair” up here doing the project. I know you all think we’re having Margaritas. Note the safety mountineering “ascender” (blue object). Whenever I go up the mast. The main halyard (rope) holds the chair, but I attach the ascender to a secondary line should the main line slip or some part of the system break. Belt and suspenders! The spikes you see keep the birds off the top of the mast.
