Skye & Scott,
Having lost our mutual friends, Scott & Jean, last month it seems surreal to know that you have lost Cindy now. Our hearts are with you.
Chuck & Sandi
Scott – We are so very sorry about the tragic loss of Cindy. She was a great friend and we will miss her deeply. We all shared some magical experiences together that will never be forgotten. Our lives are richer having known Cindy. We’ll see you at the memorial. If there is anything we can do – just call us. Our love goes out to you and Skye and the rest of the family. Cindy, dear friend – RIP. Love Diana and Peter – QuickStar xoxoxoxox

Dear Scott and Skye,
My heart goes out to you in your wrenching loss. I pray that the good Lord will give you strength to endure and begin the journey of healing. You had no way of knowing how grateful I was to you and Cindy for enabling me, when at my lowest, through your videos of the wonders in the oceans and your photographs of far-distant places, to understand that life continues and healing does take place in time. I will never forget the role you both unwittingly played in my own life. May God bless you.

Playing the video and photo galleries of SV BEACH HOUSE allows all to glimpse at the times where life was lived to the fullest by both of you doing what you loved above all else.
A legacy for all of your friends and family to view and think of their own lives and how they spend their days.

Dear Scott, family & friends,
I had come to know you through a friend and have enjoyed the connection via your cruising life. Death no matter how it occurs is devestating and breaks our hearts when a loved one moves on. As you all endure the loss of Cindy may you find some strength and repair those heart strings and keep loved ones close during the healing process. Boy this really hits home as I have family members suffering with depression too. It’s tough! I trust in God that Cindy will be at peace and keep her spirit alive in us all. God Bless you! Bye Cindy and may you feel all our love today as you leave us all. See you in heaven.

I am so sorry for your loss!!! God bless you ,and yours at this difficult time! If, you need anything, we are here for you! I will keep all of you in my prayers!
KIT (as Cindy always said)….Sorry, that Cindy was in so much pain !! GOD BLESS!!!!! RIP CINDY !!!!!
Scott, Skye:
The more we learn about depression, the more we find that it is tied to a malfunction in brain chemistry, and like any other disease that causes pain, we cannot blame people for choosing to end the pain. She is not at fault, you are not at fault; our bodies are imperfect and unfortunately, get more so with age.
For you, life goes on. Do not feel guilty about that.
Best wishes,
Frank
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of profound grief.

Hi Cindy & Scott,
Thanks for being you! If you don’t mind, I am living vicariously through your adventures. Having retired and being close to having s/v ROCKETEER ready to sail south this fall for Mexico on my own boat.
I love your wonderful Manta Magic & Video’s and have shared them with many friends, the photos are breathtaking…
My daughter is Tiffany who spent wonderful time with Jim on La Gato prior to his untimely death, she follows your travels as well…
Warm smiles, Jerry

I am so glad having met you. Finally an enthusiastic diver, as we are ourselves, among those sailors. We usually dive on our selves, but we are in constant lack of useful information about dive sites etc.
Your website, especially the underwater photographs and videos are breathtakingly fabulous.
Thank you for all the information and we hope to see you again.

Stumbled onto your website and recognized your sailboat from CYC. I was a member of CYC until 2006 when my husband and I moved to TX.
However, even though I am not sailing as I was, it is still never far from my mind and your website and logs make me long for the time that we will finally take the leap!
I have tagged your website and if you don’t mind, I will live vicariously through your adventures.
Good sailing,

So lovely to meet you in Bora Bora on the dive with Gil and the sweet couple from Guanajuato. Luckily, Przemek easily remembered your URL…I can recall an inordinate amount of minutia, but URL’s and names are never a strong point. Your shark video from a previous dive is amazing. For us, you are part of a wonderful memory of the most enchanting honeymoon we could ever imagine.

Dear Scott and Cindy:
Just watched the shark whale video, what a beautiful piece of work. We continue to enjoy experiencing your travels and are so grateful to have the storytelling and video combined.
Lots of great things going on at UT. Stimulus money is giving us two years to plan for cuts. We have a great new Chancellor, Jimmy Cheek who comes to us from Florida. Scott, your Dad would approve of him, he is a straight shooter. Woody Henderson graduated a daughter from college and one from high school this month. His youngest will enroll at UT in the fall.
Best wishes from East Tennessee,

We kayaked up to you in Chatham Bay, Isla del Coco and saw you again coming back from scuba diving on the Sea Hunter.
I reviewed your website. I was very impressed with Cindy’s writing and your videos. Cindy writes very clearly with a sense of immediacy with creates a sense of sharing..well done. Your videos are spectacular. Riding the manta ray was amazing. My hobby is making videos, mostly of family activities and travel. I post some on You Tube under the name
kahnnk”. I use Pinnacle Studio 12.
We told you we lived aboard our trimaran for 12 years. We can relate to your mechanical adventures. We live in Jaco, next to Los Suenos, and would have loved to have you over for dinner.
Our son has the red trimaran moored at Herradura Bay. http://www.kayakjaco.com is their website.
Please put us on your mailing list so we can keep up with your adventures.
Our trip 260 ft down in the submersible was awesome. I am working on the video of that trip.

All things are good in Big Orange Country. Have good memories meeting you all in SanFrancisco celebrating Art and Suzanne and their love for UT.
Best wishes for smooth sailing!

Scott & Cindy,
It is so neat that you take the time to share your offshore adventures. Very uplifting for those us than can only dream…you are living yours.
By the way, I pay very close attention to your weather obs. Hint, it cud be even more relavant if you wud ties the obs to the actual weather charts in order to encourage others to do the same, This helps to determine the accuracy of the current analysis,a 2 or shud I dare say it…”96 hour forecast!”

Hey buddy….well I guess I got the best of the Photoshop exchange. I’ll be happy to pick up where we left off when I see you….in Tahiti hopefully. You will hurt my feelings if I don’t get an invitation.
Best of luck on beginning your dream. I’ll miss you drilling in my mouth.

Dear Cindy and Scott,
I am looking forward to tracking you adventures. It is wonderful to have you both as a legacy to your parents who were so important in the life of my late husband, Avy, Art’s first cousin… from Rochester days.

I first met your dad at on a television academy summer intern business affairs selection panel, where we shared our passion to help students break into the entertainment business. Later, in my Navy Reserve capacity, I was able to provide your dad the aircraft carrier tour that he liked to recall….
Have a terrific time on your trip….and don’t ever forget that your parents smiling faces are but a thought away…

Anchors aweigh (or is it away?)! Guess we better brush up a bit on our sailing terms….
Hugs,

Thanks Scott for the personal touch at work. Adrian and I both appreciate it. Keep us in mind when you need crew, anytime and anywhere. Chris
I have added your site to my favorites and look forward to monitoring your progress around the globe. Especially enjoyed the photo of Suzanne at Art’s birthday sail in 2006.
